Pet of the Week

Ramsay (171946) is a 3 year old black male Labrador Retriever mix.  This sweet natured boy rarely barks and knows his "sit" and "shake" commands.  Ramsay is great with children and loves to play ball.  He does have a strong prey drive so he may not be good around cats.  Ramsay is anxious to find his forever home.

About Us

Since 1952, Haven Humane Society has been caring for lost, homeless and abused animals in the Redding area. Our founders created a charitable non-profit organization that is privately funded by people who believe all our four-legged friends deserve love and respect. We are very proud to have earned a reputation for providing the gold standard in quality animal care throughout Shasta County and beyond. But the biggest reward comes from carrying out our founders' purpose; giving animals a safe haven and helping them transition to happy lives in loving homes.

Haven Humane Society supports the community by promoting humane treatment of animals through sheltering, spay/neuter, adoption, community education, outreach, rescue and animal regulations.  Our vision is of a community of responsible pet owners working together for a North State with no more homeless pets.

Providing pet adoptions, low cost veterinary care including spay/neuter, and dog licensing for the City of Redding and Shasta County.
